GIBBS-project Cereduce received two awards in the regional final.

The GIBBS-project "Cereduce", run by Björn Carlsson and Gustav Öhrn, has been nominated among the top 10 business plans in Venture Cup (West). The idea provider to the project is Gothia Yeast Solutions AB.

The Insert Africa project, managed by the students at GIBBS and CSE, has won the Student Excellence Award 2009.

The startup company Capeco AB has been featured in NyTeknik. Capeco was a GIBBS-project during 2007 and was incorporated during 2008.

The two GIBBS-projects "Cereduce" and "T-sort" have been awarded in the first step of Venture Cup - best business idea.

The inventors of Arterion's patented method of producing artificial blood vessels by using bacterial cellulose have been awarded with a SKAPA scholarship.

Gothenburg has been awarded the prize for "Best City for Entrepreneurship in Europe" according to the European Cities Entrepreneurship Ranking (ECER).

Jamal El-Mosleh, GIBBS alumnus of 2006, yesterday won the regional final of Venture Cup with the business plan for Immunicum, a project based at Chalmers Innovation.

The biomaterial company Arterion, stemming from GIBBS, is one of Sweden's hottest technolgy start-ups according to NyTeknik. (Article in Swedish)
