Chalmers School of Entrepreneurship has a tradition of being an environment where talented individuals come together to actively engage in forming a better future. Our students are committed to identify new innovations, to create new and improve existing companies, and to develop new and better products and services.
In order to create this environment we have designed an admissions process where we do not only evaluate formal academic merits, but also seek potential in the individual. Additionally, we aim to understand how individuals may complement each other in order to have a good mix of students for the class as a whole. Since we focus on team-based entrepreneurship we seek a student body consisting of different educational backgrounds, different personalities, and different life experiences. Our experience and track record clearly shows that students who are willing to learn collaboratively and work hard together can accomplish great things.
We hope you will take the time and effort to produce an application demonstrating your capabilities and thus convincing us to admit you to the programme. If you succeed and are offered a spot in the end, we guarantee you two great years of learning, and an experience of a life-time.
We wish you the best of luck with your application!
Chalmers School of Entrepreneurship

1. A video presentation of yourself (optional)
2. Answers to essay questions (mandatory)
“Why are you a suitable candidate for this programme and the tracks of your interest? “
You should record a short video presentation of yourself, not exceeding one minute. The video doesn’t have to be complicated or advanced; you can e.g. use your mobile phone to record it. The purpose of the video is to help us form an even better picture of who you are by adding a dimension to the essay questions.
When you upload your video to your Youtube channel, please make sure to choose the privacy setting “unlisted” so we can access your pitch when receiving a link from you.
(can also be found as a PDF file at the end of this page)
Each question has a minimum (2500) and maximum (3500) number of characters or a minimum (250) and maximum (500) words, so you need to devote some time and effort into preparing your answers, making sure you provide as much relevant information as possible while being coherent and to the point in your writing. As you will be using our web form you should focus on the content, not on making the text pretty.
Some friendly advices before you submit your answer:
• Make sure to actually answer the main question and related sub-questions.
• Is your answer clear and understandable?
• Proof read the answers for any spelling and grammar errors, or other mistakes.
• Do not make cross references in your answers since the questions are assessed separately by different persons.
• In the assessment applicants are anonymous for the reviewer so please don’t include information revealing your identity.
Step 3: Closing the deal (extended application process, interview)
Based on the written essay questions and the video presentation a selected number of candidates will proceed to an interview with members of the Chalmers School of Entrepreneurship’s admissions committee. After the interviews the admissions committee will make their final decision which applicants they would like to recommend for admission to the programme.
The interviews will take place at Chalmers or via Skype if you are prevented to be in Gothenburg at the stated dates below
Non Chalmers students: February 20th and 21st, 2017
